Maestri Financial Services was born out of Michele Ruble's desire to service small to midsize businesses that were underserved by traditional CPA firms.  

Michele brought years of accounting experience with exposure to multiple types of businesses to the table and wanted to share her knowledge with business owners.  As Michele's work ethic grew Maestri Financial from her initial five clients to service over a hundred clients, Elizabeth, Jen, Barb and Theresa have joined the team with the same desire and goal - to help our business owners succeed in every facet of their business operations while becoming part of our family.

Our name, Maestri, is a pluralization of the word maestro, which is an Italian word for conductor or master.  We want to be the masters of understanding your business and conducting your day-to-day operations to make your business succeed and exceed your wildest expectations. 

 Michele has worked in the accounting field for over 35 years in a variety of positions.  Her journey in the accounting field started at an early age while attending college in Virginia.   This journey eventually brought her to North Carolina where she was employed with an air purification company for 18 years, eventually deciding to work at CPA firms.  Michele’s skill set would bring an entirely new set of clientele to the firms based on years of knowledge.  

Michele calls North Carolina home but does spend time in Arizona where her only child, his wife, and her only granddaughter live.  Michele enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, watching sports, gardening, baking, and the outdoors.

Elizabeth is a native North Carolinian, born and raised in Whiteville.  She graduated from NC State University with both a Bachelors and Masters in Accounting.  She spent 8 years in public accounting, followed by 5 years in local governmental accounting, before excitedly joining Maestri in early 2021.

 In her free time Elizabeth spends her time with her husband, Michael, her two young sons, and their miniature schnauzer, Molly.  She enjoys crafting, reading, traveling, volunteering, and raising Michele's stock price at Disney by visiting as often as possible.

 Jen was born and raised on the shore in Connecticut, moving to North Carolina in 2021. While in Connecticut, Jen spent many years working for the local newspaper, The New Haven Register, and a Top 25 accounting firm where she excelled at helping her clients with their monthly accounting tasks. 

Jen's educational background reflects her deep interest in the human psyche and business. Jen hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management and Psychology and a Master's in Psychology. These qualifications have broadened her understanding of human behavior and enhanced her ability to navigate the complexities of the professional world. Jen is a proactive self-starter who takes initiative and gets things done. 

A true sports fan, Jen follows and support the New York Mets and Colorado Buffaloes (not because of Primetime, but because her husband, Steve, is an alum!) They are the Brady Bunch with a blended family of six kids (three boys and three girls), one grandson, and a fur grandbaby. Outside of work, Jen enjoys taking her furbaby Piazza (yes, he is named after NY Mets catcher Mike Piazza) for walks, occasionally playing golf with her husband (holding the embarrassing score of a solid 69 through 9 holes), going to the beach, exploring what NC has to offer and spending quality time with her family and friends.

 Barb has worked in the public accounting field for over 30 years, with most of her focus on small to medium size businesses. She graduated from Seton Hall University in New Jersey in 1983 with a BS in Accounting.  Barb spent a few years at work in a large consulting firm that served Fortune 500 clients and has been with Maestri since October 2019.

Before moving to North Carolina in 2011,  Barb spent most of her life in her home state of New Jersey, except for a 4 year stint living  in Florida where her husband was transferred. They returned to New Jersey and raised their family in Ringwood for 14 years.

 Outside of work, Barb spends her time with her husband, her youngest son, and her German Shepherd, Bailey. Her older son is a North Carolina police officer.   In her free time Barb enjoys many things, including photography, music, sewing, tending her garden, and more recently her tap class!
